Client Feedback & Reflections
- Shared with permission from past clients. After 2023, I transitioned into my role as a Clinical Supervisor with expanded responsibilities and a broader focus. These reflections represent work completed prior to that transition.
2023
After 5 sessions: “Doing better. I wasn’t sure what I was going to talk about because I’m recognizing the symptoms and the thoughts now.”
After 4 sessions: “Square breathing has been so helpful… my husband has been doing it too. I was surprised how helpful it’s been. It gives me space to think before discussions now. I feel more comfortable and confident… I’m no longer jumping into stress… ready to start letting go.”
2022
After 4 months of work (following nearly 3 years with another agency): “I feel like I no longer need therapy. I’ve maintained my Weight Watchers group… and I really enjoyed therapy for the first time.”
Regarding shifting priorities: “I need to focus more on medical issues now. I need to take this more seriously. Can you help me find a pain clinic?” And my answer was always: absolutely.
Exploring new healing practices: A client shared they were trying Tai Chi for the first time, noticing their body needed more movement — and they were laughing again.
After 3 sessions: “I feel like I’m making progress… it’s refreshing to have someone hear me, and you are human with me.”
2021
After 8 sessions: “What you said to me stuck with me since therapy. I haven’t had a big episode. Just little ones. I feel pretty grounded.”
